The original painting, called "Kladruber Hengst 'Cerbero' in der Kapriole," was painted in 1721 by Johann-Georg von Hamilton, a Scottish-Austrian artist who was known for his paintings of horses and hunts. (We call this painting "Cerbero" to keep it simple.)
